Memory (24 parts), 2020

A chapter of the project focuses on the dangerous remnants of bombs in Laos. It highlights the tragic fact that children often mistake these small explosive devices for toys—due to their size, color, or resemblance to actual playthings. Some even resemble objects used in the game of pétanque, which remains popular in Laos and originates from the French colonial era. As part of the artistic approach, these bombs were photographed and the images printed onto a memory game. Playing with it strikingly reveals the insidious nature of this confusion and underscores the fatal tragedy of the issue.
